
In a country where there’s so much competition for higher education that even being in the top 1 percent is sometimes not enough, the least students can expect is the system to be robust and foolproof. However, the reality is the opposite and there have been numerous occasions where students have to pay because authorities failed to perform their duties.

The National Testing Agency (NTA), which is responsible for conducting many important exams in India has failed miserably to provide any kind of justice to students who appeared for NEET UG 2024. The agency initially denied the allegations of paper leak but the accused has now given a statement which tells the shocking reality of these exams.
The main accused in the paper leak case revealed that he could leak exam papers of any competitive exam. He claimed that he charged between ₹30-32 lakhs for getting the question paper of NEET exam to the students.

What’s shocking is that the question paper is claimed to be leaked a day before the exam. The credibility of exams conducted by NTA has come under scanner as if this is how meritocracy is working then we’re definitely heading for a doom.
NTA has to take responsibility for the situation that has arisen. Students are demanding for the dissolution of the body. Amidst all this, NET UGC exam conducted by NTA on 18th has been cancelled as they claimed Its integrity was compromised. It is time to ask if the body whose sole function is to conduct exams in this country is even capable of doing it.
