The incharge of Saidabad Jail Garden’s Government Boys Home has been accused of sexually assaulting six minor boys. The case came to light when the mother of one boy filed a complaint with the Saidabad police.
The boy broke down after returning home for Dussehra and refused to go back to the juvenile home. When questioned, he revealed the sexual abuse by the home’s incharge.
Police initially believed he was the only victim but later discovered that five other boys were also assaulted. Medical examinations confirmed the abuse, and the accused, identified as Rahman, is now in police custody.
Officers are arranging medical checkups for the other boys as part of the investigation. The case highlights how even boys, like girls, can fall victim to such crimes and need protection from predators.
Authorities stress the importance of stronger monitoring and safety measures in all child shelters to prevent such incidents.
