A shocking murder case in Hyderabad has been solved by the police. The victim, 65-year-old Sujata from Nacharam, was found dead. After an intense investigation, the accused are in custody and have confessed to the crime.
Based on their statements, police travelled to Dr BR Ambedkar Konaseema district. They searched the area with key accused Anji Babu. Sujata’s body was located near Mamidikuduru in Vainateya Godavari, between Appanapalli and K Enugupalli.
Sujata lived alone in Babanagar, Mallapur under Nacharam PS, after losing her husband and sons. Two months ago, cab driver M Anji Babu from Kottapalli in Dr Ambedkar Konaseema district rented a portion of her house. On the night of December 19, he murdered her for 11 tolas of gold and fled.
Anji Babu later informed his friends Yuvaraju, 18, and Durgarao, 35, about the murder. On December 20, they returned to Mallapur, moved the body in a car to Krishnalanka in Konaseema, and dumped it in the Godavari.
Sujata’s sister Suvarnalata, who lives in Moinabad, visited her on December 24. When she could not find Sujata, she alerted the police. As Anji Babu had also disappeared, investigators traced him and he confessed to the crime and disposal of the body.
The case has sparked shock and fear in the neighbourhood as police continue further legal procedures.
