Seventeen girl students have accused Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati, also known as Parthasarathi, of sexual harassment at an ashram in Delhi. The swamiji had been living there for almost 12 years before these allegations surfaced, shaking the faith of many of his devotees.
According to the complaints, the harassment continued over a long period. Police have opened a full investigation, collecting CCTV footage and other evidence. Reports also show that he faced similar allegations earlier, raising concerns over repeated misconduct.
After the latest complaints, Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati went missing and is currently on the run. His sudden disappearance has stunned his followers, who once trusted him completely but now feel betrayed by his actions.
The case has triggered public outrage, with demands for strict punishment. Authorities say those misusing faith for exploitation must face justice so that genuine saints are not disrespected because of such incidents.
