A techie died by suicide in the limits of the Gandhinagar police station. According to the police, Srinivas Goud, who lives in Krishna Nagar in Bansilalpet, has two sons. One passed away 12 years ago, and his second son, Vishal Goud, 28, was working in TCS.
Vishal married Navya in December 2023. The couple often had fights, and elders intervened several times. Despite this, the issues did not stop. In April this year, Navya went to her parents’ home and did not return.
Two months ago, the Uppal police called Vishal after receiving a complaint from Navya. He attended counselling. Later, another case was filed by Navya, and the Uppal police asked Vishal to visit the station again. He reportedly became distressed due to these developments.
Vishal went into his room and did not come out. When his parents broke open the door, he was found hanging from the ceiling fan.
The incident highlights the importance of marital counselling. If couples are unable to resolve their issues, it is better to separate rather than take extreme steps.
