2020 when the world went in a frenzy due to the pandemic a lot of people had to go through the trauma of loosing their loved ones. It was a state of panic and anxiety as anything could happen in the next moment.
On a very urgent state the vaccines were developed to ensure that covid epidemic gets under control so that normalcy can be restored. The quick action of the health department was praised as it saved millions lives.
But recently the news of a specific vaccine for Covid called COVIESHIELD causing deaths has stirred anxiety and fear. Venugopalan Govindan’s daughter Karunya passed away after taking this specific vaccine in July 2021. After the news surfaced that this vaccine is causing some rare side effects, her parents have taken this case to the court claiming that her death was caused by the vaccine.
Though the court was unable to find sufficient evidence to conclude that her death was caused by the vaccine, this is not the only case. Multiple parents have submitted cases correlating their childs death with the COVIESHIELD VACCINE. Allegedly the vaccine has caused multiple deaths and the court is investigating further. The manufacturer AstraZeneca is also facing a lawsuit in UK.
