Wife’s Brutal Plot Exposed: Snakebite or Murder?

In what appears to be part of a disturbing pattern, yet another case of husband murder has emerged from Uttar Pradesh. This time from Akbarpur Sadat village in Meerut district. A man named Amit was found dead on April 14 under seemingly natural circumstances, with a venomous snake near his body.

However, a postmortem revealed the shocking truth: Amit had been strangled to death before the snake ever bit him.

While this is not an isolated case. As Uttar Pradesh has seen a number of similar incidents in recent weeks, where wives, often engaged in extramarital relationships, have conspired to murder their husbands and stage the deaths to appear natural or accidental.

In this case, Amit’s wife Ravita was having an affair with a man named Amardeep. Together, they hatched a chilling plan. First buying a snake from a local charmer, then killing Amit by strangulation, and then planting the snake to fabricate a story of death by snakebite.

The attempt may have succeeded had Amit’s family not suspected foul play due to their awareness of Ravita’s affair. Their demand for a postmortem exposed the deception.

Police have arrested Ravita, Amardeep, and a third accomplice. The case is under investigation, but it’s part of a worrying trend that speaks to deeper issues. That is, the erosion of trust in relationships, lack of conflict resolution, and a growing willingness to resort to extreme measures.

As these types of cases become more frequent in UP, they raise uncomfortable questions about what is pushing people towards such violent ends within indian households.
