Everyone has their own way of doing something special for themselves. Some like to spend some time alone, others go for a walk but if you’re an adventure junky, it’s unlikely that these would be your way. There’s always something extraordinary waiting for them. For Shital Mahajan, adventure means being within the clouds.
A movie like Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara definitely tried to ignite the adventure junky present inside all of us but for most of us it remained a dream. For Shital, it was different. Nothing could stop her from following her passion for skydiving and on 13th of November, she created a new world record by becoming the first woman to have skydived in front of Mount Everest.
Shital achieved this by jumping off a helicopter at a height of 21,500 feet in front of Mount Everest. Shital has also received the fourth highest civilian honour in India, Padma Shri and has several skydiving records.
However, following such passion for her could only be possible because of her good financial status. To go after such an adventure after watching a movie is very tempting but it is possible to achieve that only if you have enough money in your account.
Adventure sport is not for the poor and the middle class. Having a dream like skydiving or parasailing is a luxury that only the rich can afford.
