Shocking Twist to Woman’s Insta Love: Dream Turns Horror

Instagram love turns shock for Jharkhand woman

In a cautionary tale about social media promises, a 30 year old woman from Dumka in Jharkhand returned home after leaving her husband and three children. She had moved to live with a man she met on Instagram, police confirmed.

The woman left for Machilipatnam in Andhra Pradesh about a month ago. Her husband filed a missing persons complaint on January 12, stating she was in regular contact with an Instagram user and arguments had followed.

Police used technical surveillance to trace her location and sent a team to Andhra Pradesh. According to Saraiyahat Police Station in charge Rajendra Kumar, she believed the man came from a wealthy family.

On reaching Machilipatnam, she reportedly found him living in a thatched hut and working as a daily wage labourer. The reality sharply contrasted with the image presented to her online.

Police said she initially planned to stay back and work in a cloth factory. After counselling and persuasion by her parents, she agreed to return home to Jharkhand.

Her husband has accepted her back, and the family has reunited. The couple has two sons aged eight and nine, along with a four year old daughter.

While the episode ended without further complications, police say it highlights the risks of trusting virtual relationships. Officials have urged caution before making life changing decisions based on online interactions.
