A woman recently created headlines on social media after she shared what can only be described as the ‘lunatic’ incidents happening in her workplace.
Describing her boss as ‘unhinged’, the woman claimed that apart from being a total control freak, her boss had gone a step ahead, continuously monitoring the office CCTV on her phone, and pinging the group if someone got up to chat or take a break.
Apart from that, the office also has a bizarre rule of not letting employees wear shoes due to ‘hygiene’ issues.
All well and good right? Well, not quite, because apparently, stray dogs can do whatever they like in the workplace, including peeing, pooping, or vomiting.
This has led to a lot of frustration for the employee, who is finding it hard to figure out her next step in life, calling her job more like a ‘social experiment’.
Incidents like these, in a much smaller intensity, are pretty common in small Indian workspaces, where the boss or founder often develops dictatorial tendencies, running the whole company like it’s their home turf.
Employers need to be reasonably lenient on their employees, showing them the right path rather than satisfying their own inflated egos to ultimately destroy the company and its work culture.
