Although Rohit didn’t score many runs he has made sure to not pressurize the rest of the lineup, striking the ball at a rate of 100, second best for the Team after Hardik Pandya. Meanwhile, Virat provided the steadiness to the team in the middle overs along with Shreyas Iyer.
With such performances, both senior players have squashed any retirement rumors anytime soon. It won’t be a surprise if they are the ones leading the charge in the 2027 World Cup as well.
