Suryakumar Yadav followed with 63 off 30 balls, while Hardik Pandya added 42 off 17. Lockie Ferguson picked up two wickets, but New Zealand struggled to slow down the scoring rate.

New Zealand began the chase with intent and early momentum. Finn Allen scored 80 runs off 38 balls, while Rachin Ravindra contributed 30 off 17. The pair added 100 runs for the second wicket.
Once the partnership broke, the chase lost direction. India’s bowlers tightened control and forced regular wickets. The required run rate climbed quickly and remained out of reach.
Sanju Samson Under Pressure
Despite the IND vs NZ series win, one concern remains for India. Sanju Samson failed again as an opener and could not make a strong impact across matches. His continued low scores add pressure before the World Cup.
