Now that the IPL fever is done and dusted, the anticipation is on the T20 World Cup which is commencing this week. As the anticipation builds on the World Cup, there is a lot of talk about the possible final XI of India.
Coming to the topic, there is a brewing discussion about who should be making it to the final XI at the World Cup.
One of the main discussions on this matter is the clash between Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube. There is an increased commotion that Dube is a far better option than Pandya and he is the one who should be in the side.
Dube has been in much better form in the IPL and he brings the left handedness to the equation which could be crucial for the right-left batting tactic often deployed by big teams.
Even bowling wise, Hardik had a horrendous IPL and his form has been disastrous to say the least.
While there is no doubting Hardik’s X-factor prowess and his ability to win the game on his own on his day, the inconsistency is the problem here. India cant afford any slip ups here as this is the last time Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will be playing together in a major ICC tournament.
