Big blow for RCB! Yash Dayal booked for allegedly raping 17-year-old girl during IPL 2025.
In a shocking turn of events, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) pacer Yash Dayal has been booked for allegedly raping a 17-year-old girl during the IPL 2025 season.
The incident reportedly took place in Jaipur and has brought a new controversy around the cricketer who was part of RCB’s historic IPL winning team this year.
According to police sources in Jaipur, a case has been filed against Dayal under sections related to rape and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
As per the complaint, the alleged incident happened during the league stage of IPL 2025 when RCB played multiple games in North India.
The survivor is a minor and has reportedly given evidence and statement to the authorities.
This is not the first time Dayal has faced such allegations. Earlier this year a woman from Ghaziabad had filed a complaint against the same cricketer for sexual assault. That case is under investigation and legal proceedings are on.
The new charges have now added to the legal troubles of the 26-year-old bowler who was seen as a rising star after his performances for RCB in their winning campaign.
However, the latest developments could impact his cricketing career with suspensions or BCCI intervention if the charges are proved.
Neither Yash Dayal nor RCB has issued any statement on the new allegations so far.
BCCI too has not said anything but sources indicate that internal discussions have begun on disciplinary action if the charges are found true.
This has once again brought focus on the conduct of professional athletes and accountability off the field.
Now the matter is under legal scanner and further action will depend on the investigation and judiciary.
