Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women won the WPL 2026 final after beating Delhi Capitals Women by six wickets. They chased the target with two balls left to claim their second title in three seasons.
RCBW had earlier won the trophy in 2024 and are now level with Mumbai Indians Women for the most WPL titles.
DCW scored 203 for 4 after batting first. Jemimah Rodrigues top scored with 57 and helped set up a strong total. However, it was not enough on the day. This was DCW’s fourth loss in a WPL final. They have now lost twice to RCBW and twice to MIW.
Smriti Mandhana led RCBW’s chase with a steady 87. Georgia Voll played an important role at the other end with 79. The pair kept the run rate in control and made sure there was no collapse. RCBW finished the chase without much trouble.
RCBW were the best team in the league stage. They finished first with six wins from eight matches and qualified directly for the final. DCW finished third and reached the final after beating Gujarat Giants Women in the Eliminator.
So far, only RCBW and MIW have won the WPL title. Delhi Capitals Women, Gujarat Giants Women and UP Warriorz are yet to lift the trophy. GGW and UPW have also never reached a final.
The 2026 season ended earlier than usual due to the T20 World Cup starting on February 7. Attention now turns to WPL 2027. The big question is whether DCW can finally win a title or if RCBW or MIW will continue to dominate.
