Rajasthan Royals beat Gujarat Titans by 6 runs in a close match to register their second straight win in IPL 2026. With this win, RR moved to the top of the points table.
Chasing 211, Gujarat Titans got a strong start. Sai Sudharsan and Kumar Kushagra added 78 runs for the first wicket. Kushagra scored 18 before getting out, while Sudharsan played a good knock of 73 off 44 balls.
The match changed when Ravi Bishnoi came into the attack. He picked up quick wickets and dismissed Sudharsan, Glenn Phillips, Washington Sundar, and Rahul Tewatia in a short span. This brought RR back into the game.
Still, GT did not give up. Rashid Khan and Kagiso Rabada added some important runs and kept the chase alive till the last over.
GT needed 11 runs in the final over, but Tushar Deshpande bowled well and did not allow them to finish the game. RR won by 6 runs.
This was Rajasthan Royals second win in two matches. They are now at the top of the table. Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings also have the same points, but RR are ahead on net run rate.
Rajasthan Royals scored 210/6 in 20 overs. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal gave a good start with a 70 run partnership. Vaibhav made 31 and Jaiswal scored 55.
Dhruv Jurel played an important innings of 75 off 42 balls, which helped RR reach a big total.
Rajasthan Royals look in very good form this season. They first beat CSK and now GT, which shows they are playing with confidence. The team is doing well in both batting and bowling.
