The Malayalam movie Alappuzha Gymkhana, starring Premalu-famed Naslen K. Gafoor and directed by Khalid Rahman, was released in theaters yesterday and has received positive responses from audiences.
Many viewers, after watching the film, have mentioned that Alappuzha Gymkhana is one of the best entertainers to come out of the Malayalam industry in recent times, with Naslen delivering a compelling performance.
Three Malayalam movies — Alappuzha Gymkhana, Basil Joseph’s Marana Mass, and Mammootty’s Bazooka — were released on April 10th. Among them, Alappuzha Gymkhana stands out as the winner, receiving positive word of mouth and performing well in box office collections.
Surprisingly, despite the release of Ajith Kumar’s Good Bad Ugly, the Bollywood movie Jaat, and the Telugu film Jack on the same date, Alappuzha Gymkhana has maintained a strong screen count and is performing well at the box office in both Tamil Nadu and the Telugu states.
It remains to be seen how Alappuzha Gymkhana will fare in the coming days and whether it can become Naslen’s second ₹100 crore grosser after Premalu.
