Suriya’s Kanguva, directed by Siruthai Siva and released in theaters last year, received disastrous responses from audiences and ended up as a troll fest among netizens.
Recently, writer Madhan Karky, who wrote dialogues for Kanguva, participated in an interview where he opened up about the world-building in Kanguva, which has now gone viral.
Madhan Karky stated that Kanguva was one of the most exciting projects in his career, and he and Siruthai Siva had created a new world with lots of details, but due to time constraints, only a few things were shown in the movie.
Even though he didn’t reveal much about it, Suriya fans on social media surprisingly started requesting Siruthai Siva to immediately start Kanguva 2.
They feel that while Part 1 may have been a misfire, the world of Kanguva was truly fresh, and if he make Part 2, it could become a blockbuster.
In contrast, netizens on social media are thrashing Suriya fans’ requests, as Kanguva was the biggest failure in Suriya’s career. They question how fans could even request a Part 2 for this.
However, despite Kanguva having an ending that led to Part 2, the makers have dropped the idea of making the sequel as the first part ended up as a terrible disaster and incurred a huge loss for the production house.
