Neha Gnanavel, wife of producer KE Gnanavel Raja, addressed the backlash in a tweet that made some noise on social media due to its candid tone. But she has now deleted that tweet.

In the tweet, Neha clarified Angela’s role, saying, “She was there just to look pretty! We couldn’t have her for 2.5 hours na.” She defended the director, stating one vision can’t satisfy everyone.
Her comments triggered more trolling about Kanguva.

She isn’t the first one to defend Kanguva and attack reviewers.
Suriya’s wife, Jyothika, also defended the film and blamed the media for creating unnecessary negativity.
Despite high expectations, Kanguva underperformed. It earned only ₹50 crores net in its opening weekend.
The public has rejected the film and it would be better for everyone to accept the truth and move on.
