Suriya’s lack of box-office pull also became evident, as he couldn’t save the film in any territory.
The Telugu states recorded negligible shares, and the talk in the trade is that it’s an outright disaster.
Even in North America, Kanguva faced outright rejection, not just from Telugu or Hindi audiences, but also from Tamil audiences, who skipped the film.
Kanguva is likely to close below $1 million in the U.S., far from breaking even, making it a true-blue disaster for Suriya.
