Following the back to back disappointments of Leo and Coolie, Lokesh Kanagaraj took a short break from direction and completed the shooting for his debut film as an actor, which is DC, directed by Arun Matheswaran and it is gearing up for a worldwide theatrical release on July 31st.
However, only the announcement for Lokesh Kanagaraj’s next directorial venture with Allu Arjun, which is tentatively titled AA23, was dropped a few weeks ago. But because Allu Arjun is busy shooting for his film with Atlee, the shooting of AA23 has not started yet and Lokesh Kanagaraj is doing the pre-production work for it.

In this scenario, Lokesh Kanagaraj recently cleared up the rumors about the LCU in an interview. He clarified that while there was a buzz going around that the LCU was closed, it is not true. He claimed that he would even close his G Squad Productions if there was pressure from it, but he would never close down the LCU films.
Furthermore, he mentioned that Kaithi 2, Vikram 2 and the Rolex standalone film are his commitments, promising that the LCU is not closed and will continue. He concluded this topic by stating that once he finishes Allu Arjun’s film, he will work on LCU films, adding that the film Benz, which is currently being filmed under his production, is also part of the LCU.
