Mohanlal’s Dream Lineup: Priyadarshan to Jeethu Joseph

Mohanlal seven upcoming films

Following the commercial success of Drishyam 3, Mohanlal is now starring as the lead in multiple projects, including the officially announced films like Athimanoharam directed by Tharun Moorthy and the tentatively titled L367 helmed by Vishnu Mohan.

While last year was a phenomenal year for Mohanlal, as he had four releases, three of which, L2 Empuraan, Thudarum and Hridayapoorvam performed exceptionally well at the box office with a collective collection of 600 crores, this year the actor has had only two releases so far.

These are Patriot and Drishyam 3. Out of these two films, even though Drishyam 3 was a commercial success, it didn’t satisfy audience expectations, whereas Patriot was a terrible disaster. Most probably, the actor might have one more release before the end of this year, which would be Athimanoharam.

Usually, actors enjoying the top-tier status of Mohanlal would have only one release per year, but in the Malayalam industry, both legendary stars, Mohanlal and Mammootty, continue to do multiple films a year.

In this context, Mohanlal has now announced the directors for his next seven films, which has become a viral topic of discussion on social media. Surprisingly, Mohanlal confirmed through a tweet on his X account that his next seven projects will be with Vishnu Mohan, Anoop Sathyan, Priyadarshan, Dileesh Pothan, Sathyan Anthikad, Jude Anthany Joseph and Jeethu Joseph.

In response to this unexpected update from the actor, many Mohanlal fans on social media are suggesting that all seven upcoming collaborations look solid and they are especially eagerly awaiting his films with Priyadarshan and Jude Anthany Joseph.

Meanwhile, there is also confusion among fans about his collaboration with Jeethu Joseph, as the duo had already announced a film titled Ram. Therefore, they are now raising questions on social media about whether Mohanlal is referring to Ram or a different project.

Additionally, after seeing Jeethu Joseph on the list, some people are trolling that it seems Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph are coming up with Drishyam 4, claiming that doing so would be the worst decision ever.

On the other hand, some feel that Mohanlal is accepting every offer coming his way. They believe an actor of his stature should plan and deliver solid projects rather than rushing and doing multiple films at the same time.

However, it remains to be seen how all these collaborations turn out and whether Mohanlal, with his upcoming series of seven films, will elevate his box office potential to the next level in the future.
