Nithya Menen

Nithya Menen has been the talk of the town in Kollywood for the past few days for her bold speeches in the promotional interviews for her upcoming movie Kadhalikka Neramillai, which is going to be released on January 14th.

Now, again, Nithya Menen, in one of her recent interviews, has spoken about how badly actresses are treated in Kollywood, which has now gone viral on social media.

The anchor of the interview questioned her, stating that this was the first time in Kollywood that an actress’s name appeared in front of a hero’s name on the posters of Kadhalikka Neramillai. How did this happen?

Nithya Menen opened up, saying that in Kollywood, everyone maintains a hierarchy where it should always be the hero first, then the director, and lastly the heroine, in every function and ceremony, even in the placement of caravans on the shooting sets.

Apart from this, the worst thing in the industry is that if a hero performs even a mediocre scene during the shoot, the whole unit claps, but when the heroine acts exceptionally well in a sequence, there is pin-drop silence on the set.

These low-minded hierarchies in the industry should be diminished, and Kadhalikka Neramillai is the first step toward change. Even Jayam Ravi has supported this, which is why her name was placed first on the poster.
