Director Pa Ranjith’s fiery speech at the success event of Bison has set social media buzzing with debates. His remarks about Kabali, Rajinikanth, and Dude have divided audiences sharply. During his speech, Ranjith said Kabali earned Rs 100 crore in profit even before release, but his haters called it a disaster.
He also questioned why people had a problem with Rajinikanth delivering dialogues about oppression, saying he simply reflected reality. Ranjith admitted Kabali had a few screenplay flaws but added that not all of Rajinikanth’s other films were necessarily better. His statement instantly drew attention for sounding like a dig at Rajinikanth’s other projects.
The director didn’t stop there. He claimed that a particular group had boycotted Bison and instead promoted Dude for Diwali. He said he was glad that director Keerthiswaran responded to them through Bison’s powerful political message, calling it a “tight slap” to his detractors.
Supporters praised Pa Ranjith for speaking boldly and defending his creative choices. Others accused him of crossing the line, saying he insulted Rajinikanth’s legacy while pushing his ideological agenda. Many warned that if he keeps repeating the same themes, audiences might grow tired and reject his future films.
Despite the backlash, Ranjith’s comments have gone viral. His statements on Kabali and Dude continue to dominate online discussions, showing once again how his words never fail to spark controversy in Kollywood.
