Sivakarthikeyan celebrates a major milestone in his career with his 25th film, titled Parasakthi, directed by the critically acclaimed Sudha Kongara. The announcement, accompanied by a short video, has created a buzz on social media.
The film features a strong ensemble cast, including Ravi Mohan, Sreeleela, and Atharvaa Murali in key roles. Initially, the story was pitched to Suriya, Nazriya Fahadh, Vijay Varma, and Dulquer Salmaan, but after Suriya opted out, Sivakarthikeyan took on the lead role, bringing fresh faces to the cast.

Parasakthi is a period drama set in old Madras, with Atharvaa and Sreeleela donning traditional attire to bring the historical backdrop to life. Ravi Mohan plays the antagonist, adding intensity to the storyline. The film also marks the Tamil debut of Sreeleela.
Going by the announcement video, it seems like a big loss for Suriya. The role appears to be tailor-made for him. After the disastrous Kanguva, Suriya needed a strong comeback with solid projects. With Rolex in the works with Karthik Subbaraj, adding Parasakthi to the mix would have been a game-changer.

Rolex has already generated immense buzz with its teaser, making it one of the most anticipated Tamil films of the year. In such a scenario, a film with Sudha Kongara, with whom Suriya delivered the National Award-winning Soorarai Pottru, would have been the perfect icing on the cake.
Parasakthi seems to carry tremendous goodwill and would have instantly created excitement and hype for him. Just imagine Rolex and Parasakthi as his upcoming projects—two massive films in his lineup.

Suriya might regret passing up on such a promising project, one that looks technically brilliant and offers compelling, striking content. The characters seem ripped straight out of a classic political drama.
Parasakthi is produced by Dawn Pictures, and with GV Prakash Kumar on board as the music composer, the film looks extremely promising. The crew includes some of the top technicians in the industry.
