GV Prakash Under Fire for Sivakarthikeyan’s Film

After the failure of Maadhaarasi, Sivakarthikeyan is now preparing for his next release Parasakthi, directed by Sudha Kongara. The film is set for a worldwide theatrical release on January 14th, and you can sense rising attention around its music launch.

With only weeks left, the team has begun releasing songs from Parasakthi. After two singles, the promo video for the third single, Namakkana Kaalam composed by GV Prakash, has now been shared online and is drawing mixed reactions.

Parasakthi carried strong expectations from the day it was announced. Yet the buzz faded because the first two singles failed to impress listeners. Many people felt the songs did not stand out and allowed the hype to slip.

The new promo for Namakkana Kaalam is also getting divided responses. Some say the beat feels weak and believe Sivakarthikeyan’s dance may be the only factor that makes the song go viral once the full video releases.

A section of listeners has also criticised GV Prakash Kumar and asked him to restore the film’s momentum. They insist he must prove his potential through the upcoming songs, especially with Parasakthi being his 100th musical film.

They also point out the film’s Pongal clash with Vijay’s Jana Nayagan. According to them, Parasakthi needs strong pre-release buzz and positive talk to survive in theatres; otherwise, it may struggle against the Jana Nayagan wave.

All eyes are now on Namakkana Kaalam, scheduled for release on December 14th. You will soon see whether the third single meets expectations, turns viral, and helps Parasakthi regain the momentum it lost ahead of its release.
