Pradeep Ranganathan is heading towards a rare Diwali clash with his two upcoming films, Love Insurance Kompany (LIK) and Dude. Following the success of Dragon, the actor has wrapped up both projects, directed by Vignesh Shivan and debutant Keerthiswaran respectively.
The LIK team has officially confirmed a Diwali release after several postponements. At the same time, the makers of Dude have also been firm about releasing their film on Diwali, despite trade expectations that it might shift to another date.
To reinforce this, the Dude team released a poster announcing its first single Oorum Blood and once again confirmed a Diwali release. This has left trade experts surprised, as both films seem unwilling to change their slot.
If both films release on the same date, it will mark a historic Diwali clash, something not witnessed in decades. Still, some industry experts believe only one of the films will eventually make it to the festive slot. Fans now wait to see if both LIK and Dude will truly battle it out this Diwali.
