Vijay Sethupathi’s Baththa directed by Balaji Tharaneetharan was released in theatres yesterday and has received super positive responses from the audience and critics.
Many viewers, after watching Baththa, claimed that it is one of the best films released in Kollywood in recent times and highly appreciated the performance of Vijay Sethupathi.
Also, many of them in particular suggest that Sai Abhyankkar‘s background score and songs are one of the major highlights of Baththa and claim that it is his best work yet.
Despite a very poor opening, with super positive word of mouth, Baththa is gaining solid momentum at the box office and is all set to become a commercial success.
Baththa is Sai Abhyankkar’s third release in Kollywood, following Dude and Karuppu. Since both Dude and Karuppu were huge successes, Baththa is now all set to emerge as a hat-trick hit for him.
Consequently, many social media users are suggesting that Sai Abhyankkar is slowly turning out to be the lucky charm of Kollywood. If he maintains this momentum and delivers solid compositions in his upcoming lineup of films, he has a huge chance to emerge as the biggest composer in South India.
Also, they claim that music composer Anirudh is now dominating the South indian cinema, with many biggies in his lineup. However, if Sai Abhyankkar maintains the momentum, he will soon replace Anirudh and the makers of big budget movies will collaborate with Sai Abhyankkar, instead of Anirudh.
At the same time, many people caution that Sai Abhyankkar should not let this success go to his head and should continue to deliver unique songs in his upcoming films. They feel that because of the back to back success, audiences now expect more from the composer and if he fails to meet those expectations, they will immediately term him overrated.
Ultimately, with a hat trick of hits, Sai Abhyankkar has gained massive momentum. It remains to be seen how he will maintain this pace and whether he will emerge as the biggest composer in South India in the future.
