Shankar, who holds the rights to the Velpari novel, opened up that Enthiran was his previous dream project, and now Velpari is his dream film.

Furthermore, he also mentioned that it has a large scope to introduce new technologies, and similar to Game of Thrones and Avatar, Velpari has all the scope to become a proud Indian-Tamil film, and he hopes his dreams come true. This has now gone viral across social media.

Following this, some netizens responded that Shankar’s movies always have a strong social message, and after the terrible disasters of Indian 2 and Game Changer, it seems like he has dropped the idea of social messages and is again returning to strong VFX-based movies, similar to Enthiran and 2.0.

At the same time, if Shankar make Velpari with new VFX technologies it would demands a huge budget and even though Shankar introduced many new VFX technologies in his movies, due to the terrible losses of his last two movies, Kollywood audiences are requesting him to concentrate more on the movie’s screenplay, despite using strong VFX technologies.

It remains to be seen whether Shankar will start the Velpari project soon, and if it happens, how it is going to take shape and whether it helps him make a comeback upon its release.
