According to reports, Thalapathy 69 was initially planned for a Diwali release, with the announcement poster confirming an October release. However, it is now speculated that the team is planning to postpone the release to Pongal 2026.

Today, KVN Productions, the film’s production house, officially announced that the first look and title of the movie will be revealed on January 26. As per buzz, the postponement might also be confirmed through the first look poster on Republic Day.
Additionally, rumors suggest that the title Naalaiya Theerpu (Tomorrow’s Judgment) is being considered. This title, which is the name of Vijay’s debut film, is reportedly chosen to give a nostalgic farewell to the actor and resonate with his political aspirations, as it aligns with the theme of Vijay’s transition into politics.
