Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan is all set for a theatrical release on October 10th. After the teaser that was released yesterday, it’s confirmed that the core plot of Vettaiyan is going to be based on encounters.
TJ Gnanavel, who was recognized for his last movie, Jai Bhim, has directed this movie. TJ Gnanavel was a reporter before he became a director. His last movie, Jai Bhim, dealt with custodial murder, whereas Vettaiyan dealt with fake encounters.
In this scenario, the run time of Vettaiyan is said to be around 2 hours and 45 minutes. The duration of this movie may turn against this movie, as this much longer runtime may lag in many places.
Also, after the teaser of this movie, many audiences have mentioned that the teaser looks like a serial because of the slow pace set by the team. This may become a burden as a slow-paced manner with a long duration may end up as a disaster if content fails to hook the audiences.
Also, there was a strong buzz that, considering the runtime, the Vettaiyan movie team planned to either chop the Manasilaayo song from the movie and place it after the end to hook the audience without lags.
