Pradeep Ranganathan, after the two back-to-back blockbuster successes of Love Today and Dragon, is now acting as a lead in two projects: Love Insurance Kompany (LIK) directed by Vignesh Shivan and Dude directed by debutant Keerthiswaran.
Earlier, there was strong speculation that LIK was getting postponed from its announced release date of September 18th to Valentine’s Day next year.
However, now there is a strong buzz that the LIK team is planning to release the movie for Diwali. Due to this, Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dude, produced by Mythri Movie Makers, which was earlier announced for Diwali, is reportedly getting postponed.
Following this buzz, many people got triggered and are thrashing Vignesh Shivan for this. They point out that the Dude team had announced it as a Diwali release from day one and has been working towards it.
But now, all of a sudden, due to LIK’s postponement due to its bloated budget issues, Dude’s release date is getting affected.
They highlight that Mythri Movie Makers debut Kollywood movie, Good Bad Ugly, was initially set for a Pongal release, but due to Vidaamuyarchi’s postponement, its release date was affected, and it eventually released on April 10th, and at the same time Vidaamuyarchi also didn’t utilized the Pongal release date as due to some issues it got released in February month.
The same scenario is now repeating for Mythri Movie Makers once again with Dude, which is their second venture in Kollywood. Therefore, netizens are requesting Mythri Movie Makers not to postpone Dude for LIK and to stick to their earlier announced release date.
However, there haven’t been any official updates on this, and it remains to be seen whether LIK will indeed be the Diwali release and Dude will get postponed to a new release date in the future.
