Generative AI is one of the most promising technologies serving and developing in the current times. Companies like Google, Microsoft and OpenAI are investing heavily in driving this research initiative in order to develop products for mankind. Once again the brain behind one such big project is going to be of an Indian. Microsoft has appointed Indian-American Aparna Chennapragada as a Corporate Vice President at the company.
Aparna would be leading the works in the field of generative AI for Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Designer. “I am super excited to share that I am joining Microsoft as Corporate VP leading efforts on AI-first creation experiences,” she said on her LinkedIn profile.
Aparna has a lot of experience working with tech companies and she has held leadership positions at Google for 12 years. She is also currently serving as a board member at eBay. She recently stepped down from the position of Chief Product Officer for Robinhood, a stock trading platform.
Aparna did her graduation in B.Tech Computer Science from IIT Madras. She has a double master’s degree from the University Of Texas. Aparna will add to the large number of people of Indian origin working at leadership roles in tech companies around the world.
