E-Buses In Hyderabad: Panic Button, LEDs

E-Buses HyderabadHyderabad is getting the much awaited electric buses at last. Telangana State Road Transport Corporation officials examined the prototype and said that 25 E-buses will soon be operational in the city.

A total of 50 AC buses are expected, of which 30 will run in the IT corridor while the other 20 in the routes to the airport.

The E-buses are packed with all types of new and innovative features matching with the vibe of the city. Each bus will have 35 seats, with individual charging points, seat belts, panic buttons and vehicle tracking system. There will be three CCTV cameras and four LED screens to display destination details.

The buses come with a Fire Detection Suppression System which will prevent fire accidents. On a full charge, these buses can travel upto 225 KM and could recharge from 0 to 100 in two to three hours.

Including these 50 AC buses, a total of 1,300 buses (450 non-ac electric buses) are to be acquired by the TSRTC, of which 500 will be delivered this financial year.
