Google Meet Backgrounds Get More Interesting

Google Meet BackgroundsIf your video conferences on Google Meet were getting a bit mundane, there’s good news for you. Google Meet has launched a test feature on Google Workspace Labs, which allows users to generate different backgrounds using prompts. Google Workspace Labs is a program run by the company that allows a small number of users to test a feature before it is launched to a larger audience.

Using Artificial Intelligence (AI), the program aims to enable users to create their very own and unique backgrounds. Users can select from a variety of styles like fantasy, photography, illustration, etc. After selecting a style, they need to write a prompt describing how they want the background to look, and the AI will generate the desired result. The better and more descriptive the prompt, the better the end result will be.

However, Google mentioned in the help document that the feature may sometimes suggest inaccurate or inappropriate information. The generated results can only be used within Google Meet and no other applications. Nonetheless, the feature is a boost to the service and an example of how AI is already playing a significant role in our lives. There has been no information about when this feature might be available for general use by everyone.
