A road trip in the United States turned into a tragedy for a Telugu family after an accident near White Sands National Park, reportedly leaving one person dead and others critically injured.
According to personal accounts and reports, the family had stopped their vehicle on the roadside while returning from an outing near White Sands in New Mexico. This is when a truck crashed into their car from behind as they were switching drivers.
Young Ayala Purna Gopi reportedly lost his life in the crash. His brother allegedly suffered a serious spinal injury, while both parents are said to be unconscious and undergoing treatment at a local hospital.
The accident follows another Telugu student, Navya Gadusu, losing her life in a Chicago car crash. The incident has again raised concerns over road safety among Indian families and NRIs travelling across the US.
The heartbreaking incident shocked the Telugu community in the US and India. Many people expressed their grief and sent prayers for the recovery of the injured family members.
As of now, local authorities have not officially released full details about the accident or the truck driver. More details about the incident are awaited.
