Aaryan starring Vishnu Vishal and directed by Praveen K released in theatres on October 31. It received mixed reviews. Some viewers liked the crime angle while many felt the screenplay lacked grip. The film could not do well in cinemas.
After the theatrical run, Aaryan started streaming on Netflix on November 28 in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. Many expected the thriller to find a better audience here because this genre usually performs well on streaming platforms.
But the reaction after release is different. Viewers are now calling the film a letdown and sharing their disappointment. The expectation was much higher because Vishnu Vishal earlier delivered the hit serial killer film Ratsasan. Aaryan did not match that level and failed to impress both in theatres and on streaming.
