Xbox has been extending its perimeters with its Gamepass and Cloud gaming services. With the Gamepass even PC players are able to enjoy Xbox titles at an affordable rate. Now they have collaborated with Amazon to avail Xbox games on Amazon Fire TV.
Ashley McKissick, Corporate Vice President of Xbox Experiences and Platforms Engineering shared that this collaboration will bring the joy of gaming to a lot of new users who do not have access to a console.
But without a dedicated system, how will people be able to play games? The answer lies within the clouds, literally. Xbox cloud gaming will provide access to all the Xbox games on Amazon Fire TV and the users will be able to stream the games directly, provided that they have Amazon Fire Stick and a compatible controller.
This collaboration will bring ease of access to AAA titles as well as affordable service to all users as the Amazon Fire TV is a fraction of the cost of a dedicated Xbox console. To enable these services consumers will need to get a Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership.
Though the news is exciting for all, this service is not available in all the regions yet. Countries, including India, have to wait for further updates before they can start gaming on their Amazon Fire TV.
