The Kannada film Bagheera made headlines due to its story and screenplay being provided by Prashanth Neel. The film was marketed as a pan-India project due to Prashanth Neel’s brand value.
However, it concluded its theatrical run with worldwide collections under Rs 30 crore. The film recently started streaming on Netflix.

Interestingly, Bagheera is the first Kannada film to stream on the OTT giant Netflix. While films like Kantara are available on Netflix, they are available in Hindi, not in the original Kannada version.
Netflix seems to have acquired the OTT rights of Bagheera because of the big names involved, such as Prashanth Neel and Hombale Films.

The response to Bagheera on OTT has been average to decent.
Srii Murali, Prakash Raj, and Achyuth Kumar’s neat performances, decent technical aspects, good BGM, and good filmmaking stand out. The action blocks and a few mass scenes are great.
However, the routine story and predictability are drawbacks. It’s a fairly entertaining superhero film, making it watchable overall.
