Chiranjeevi is heading to Netflix, but apparently not as an actor this time. As per the latest buzz, the Megastar is set to headline a celebrity talk show for Netflix. Discussions are reportedly complete and the deal is said to be locked, with an official announcement expected soon.
If confirmed, this would mark a very different kind of OTT entry for Chiranjeevi. Instead of making his digital debut with a web series or an OTT film, the veteran actor would be stepping into a format built around conversations, celebrity guests and his own personality.
That could be an interesting fit for someone with more than four decades of stories from the film industry. Chiranjeevi has worked with several generations of actors, directors and technicians, giving a potential talk show plenty of personalities and experiences to draw from.
The timing is also interesting. Chiranjeevi is currently busy with KAAKA, making this reported OTT development a separate addition to his post-theatrical plans.
However, the project is still waiting for an official word from Netflix or Chiranjeevi’s team. Until then, details about the format, guests, launch date and remuneration remain unconfirmed.
Megastar on Netflix is already an interesting headline. Megastar with a microphone, asking the questions, could be an entirely different game.
