Netflix India’s latest venture ‘The Royals’ has been called out as a ‘cringe-fest’ by audiences but what is the real reason behind it?
Netizens say Bhumi Pednekar’s performance was one of the biggest reasons for the show’s failure. They think it could have done very well otherwise. With actors like Ishan Khattar, Sakshi Tanwar, Milind Soman, and the legendary Zeenat Aman, the show could have kicked off easily.

But Bhumi Pednekar’s sloppy performance made the show lag behind. People are saying Bhumi could not even walk straight in the show and her acting was pathetic. Her expressions and movements were of a very hopeless kind.
She is a good actress and has proved that with movies like Dum Laga Ke Haisha and more, but here her performance is unbearable.

Almost everybody who is criticizing the show is talking about how bad the actress is. A Bad performance from the lead actress indeed changes a lot about the show in a negative way.
@NetflixIndia Thank God, I have unsubscribed Netflix. The latest cringe show from them #TheRoyals. Overacting clowns. #Bhumi is unbearable. The worst part of the show. From Dum Lagake Haisha to this! What a fall.

Royals producer gave a separate cheque to Bhumi's lips. #Torture What an absolute shitshow this is. @NetflixIndia wastes such money on high production and badly written scripts. Honestly now it feels like Netflix is India to turn black money into white.

Users say they could have chosen any other actress over Bhumi and she would have done a better job. It looks like the blame for this gigantic failure is to be shared by Netflix and Bhumi Pednekar both.
