During the pandemic, OTT platforms became essential for entertainment, and their popularity has only grown. A recent report reveals the latest subscriber numbers for major streaming services in India, highlighting shifts in digital content consumption.
Disney+ leads the charge with an impressive 52 million subscribers. Its vast library, including Disney classics, Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, a wide range of regional content, and an affordable subscription price, has cemented its top position. Disney+’s broad appeal is a key factor in its dominance.

In a surprising turn, Eros Now ranks second with 39.9 million subscribers. Launched in 2012, Eros Now is part of Eros Media World, an Indian-American multinational media company. The platform’s impressive subscriber count is partly attributed to its low monthly cost of Rs. 49, which has attracted a significant number of viewers.
Amazon Prime Video holds the third spot with 22 million subscribers. Its strong performance is partly due to its integration with Amazon’s shopping platform, offering additional perks and discounts that likely contribute to its substantial subscriber base.
