Jio Hotstar’s IPL commentary has been inviting trolling and negative criticism for quite some time now. And some comments by Ambati Rayudu and Navjot Singh Siddhu from the commentary panel have started controversies from time to time.
While Jio Hotstar has not paid any heed to fan suggestions of changing the panel, fans have come up with another suggestion now.
People are saying that if the platform keeps an ‘unhinged’ commentary section, it will bring huge views and be a completely separate source of entertainment too. And people might even agree to pay more for it too.
An age restricted segment with informal commentary that might include swear words and jokes to the fill, can be a huge hit among fans.
There are some YouTube channels that have tried to dub commentaries like this. But a live commentary option like this is actually a great idea.
People are frustrated with the unserious commentary and jokes by Navjot Singh Sidhu, but there are people who like it too. It will be an actually good idea if there is one version of commentary totally filtered and formal and the other one completely unhinged.
However, it is not sure whether Jio Hotstar will be taking the advice seriously or not. Because it has been ignoring even the suggestion of changing the current panel too for a long time now.
