Users are urging Jio Hotstar to get more shows shifted to the 4K Dolby Vision. And they are frustrated that they are still not able to watch many shows in the highest intended quality.
Many of the shows are still using 1080P versions, like the ones from WB, HBO or Universal. But for Disney shows are available on 4K HDR with the exception of Daredevil. Globally, Disney+ content is available to watch in 4K HDR version.

Even the new movies and shows that came out as late as 2024 from WB or Universal are there to stream on 4K but SDR and not HDR. SDR and HDR makes a huge difference in dedicated fans who value the quality of the streaming a lot.
The platform should offer High Dynamic Range for all the shows that avail the feature. To satisfy customers the platform needs to upgrade their streams operations more swiftly.

People are complaining that many of the shows are in 1080P because they are stored in Jio Cinema backend servers like the Disney content is stored in the Disney back end servers.
Whatever the reason be, the platform needs to take care of what the users need and tend to it immediately.

The lack of proper 4K HDR support has led to disappointment among fans who expected a better viewing experience.
Many users are comparing Jio Hotstar with its international counterparts, pointing out that platforms like Disney+ and HBO Max offer much better quality streaming in other regions.
