Over the years OTT platforms has made a space in viewers mind which shows a certain faith, that for quality content ott is a go to place, and in this platform the crime thriller genre is an all time favorite.
In between all regional successes, “Kerala Crime Files” marked a major breakthrough for Malayalam content on OTT. Released in June 2023 on Disney+ Hotstar and directed by Ahammed Khabeer, the first season impressed with its solid plot, grounded performances by the actors.

Now, the much-anticipated second season is set to premiere on June 20, 2025 on JioHotstar, titled “The Hunt for CPO Ambili, Season 2” is the story of the sudden disappearance of Civil Police Officer Ambili Raju, played by veteran actor Indrans. When a blood-smeared phone surfaces in a drainage canal, Ambili becomes the prime suspect.
With its bold storyline and emotional depth, Season 2 promises to set the benchmark in regional thrillers once again.
