The last couple of weeks have been rather high and dry for the OTT audience with not too many exciting options available. Let us see if this week is going to be any better as we have a look at the upcoming titles in leading OTT platforms this week.
Moonwalk
Malayalam cinema is known for making funky youthful dramas these days and another such film that falls under this category is Moonwalk. This film will stream on JioHotstar from 8 July.
Special Ops S2
The first part of this action oriented series was a significant success in the OTT space. This is the primary reason why JioHotstar commissioned the second season. The series follows Himmat Singh of Research and Analysis Wing who draws similar patterns in terrorist attacks and is convinced a single person is behind all the attacks. His task force team of five agents living in various parts of the world aim to catch the mastermind. The second season will stream from July 11.
Narivetta
Here is another Malayalam title on this list, but this time a more serious approach one. This cop actioner has supremely talented Suraj and Mallu star Tovino Thomas in the lead roles. It will stream on SonyLIV from July 11.
Mr Rani
Here is something for the audience who love funky stuff on OTT. Mr Rani is based on Raja who dreams of becoming an actor but is forced by his parents to become an engineer. While struggling to become an actor, he accidentally gets a chance to play a girl’s role and goes on to become the No. 1 actress. This film will steam on Lionsgate play from July 11.
The Wild Ones
Here is something for nature and wildlife lovers as Apple TV+ has come up with what promises to be an engaging wildlife show titled The Wild Ones. It will stream on Apple TV from July 11.
