In terms of quality, there was no question that it would be one of the best films of the year, but doubt lingered in the economic factor. Barbie’s entire advertising campaign looked too good, and the projection graph went down. However, Oppenheimer practically bombed the speculations and established it as one of the most successful theatrical runs.
There were certain speculations regarding its OTT release as Nolan has always focused on the theater experience. A couple of days ago, a video surfaced over the internet where he was talking about planning to sell physical copies rather than selling it to some ‘evil’ OTT.
Nolan also discussed giving viewers more control over the OTT platforms; fans were indeed expecting some news about the streaming soon.
According to official reports, Nolan’s cinematic masterpiece about the mad scientist Julius Robert Oppenheimer will be streaming on BookMyShow stream from November 22nd.
The film, starring Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, and Robert Downey Jr, will now take over the OTT space by storm. Although the film will only be available for rent as of now, cinephiles won’t really wait much to stream it.
Currently, no price tag has been notified about the renting, but again, as history suggests, BMS will indeed charge something that is over the top. Though the OTT streaming won’t provide as good of an experience as the IMAX version, the experience would indeed be monumental, that’s for sure.
