Amazon MX Player, in collaboration with Almighty Motion Pictures, is producing a six‑episode biographical series titled Made in India – A Titan Story, coinciding with J.R.D. Tata’s 121st birthday. Veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah will portray the legendary industrialist, bringing authenticity and depth to the role. Acclaimed actor Jim Sarbh takes on the part of Xerxes Desai, the visionary leader behind Titan Watches, and the pair will dramatize their professional bond during the 1980s.
Adapted from Vinay Kamath’s bestselling book Titan: Inside India’s Most Successful Consumer Brand, the series is directed by Robby Grewal and scripted by Karan Vyas. The ensemble cast also includes Namita Dubey, Vaibhav Tatwawaadi, Kaveri Seth, Lakshvir Saran, and Paresh Ganatra, each taking on roles that shaped Titan’s legacy.
Produced by Prabhleen Sandhu of Almighty Motion Pictures, the show explores the rise of Titan as not just a successful brand but a symbol of innovation and national pride. The narrative delves into J.R.D. Tata’s leadership, industrial foresight, and his transformative partnership with Desai that fueled one of India’s iconic consumer stories.
