Users are now comparing Jio Hotstar with international platforms like Netflix and Prime Video regarding the user interface of these apps.
They are complaining on social media that Jio Hotstar lags behind unlike Netflix or Prime. AppleTV too is smooth with its streaming. They say at least the TV app of Hotstar needs immediate upgrade.
But these are all international apps and have gone through multiple upgrades technically. Jio Hotstar has combined two Indian OTT platforms and still has a long way to go. It is just the beginning of the merger and Jio Hotstar has not made a very good impression initially.
While the platform will take a little bit of time to be equally swift with its technical operations, they need to pay heed to the complaints that users are having on social media. These are valid feedback and should be taken seriously to improve the overall user experience.
If they have to compete with platforms like Netflix and Prime in India, they will have to be quick to intercept these complaints and demands and act accordingly by making upgrades in their technical interface.
