Tamannaah Bhatia’s horror film Odela 2 is set to premiere on Prime Video on May 8. But the big question is — will it perform better on OTT?
Prime Video has built a decent reputation for its horror offerings, but Odela 2, despite being a sequel to ‘ Odela Railway Station’, didn’t find success in theaters. The film was a box office disaster, failing to click with audiences.
However, with Tamannaah in the lead, there’s still hope that the movie might attract some attention on streaming. There have been several cases where theatrical flops found a second life on OTT, so it remains to be seen if Odela 2 can turn its luck around.
If the film manages to pull in viewers on Prime Video, it’ll largely be thanks to Tamannaah’s star power.
Odela 2 will be available to stream in all four South Indian languages as well as Hindi. Sampath Nandi wrote Odela 2 and produced it under his Sampath Nandi Teamworks banner.
